A Potentially Life-Altering Conversation With a...
This is a true story. In fact, it happened about an hour ago (It's now 1030PM Hawaii Standard Time on March 1st of 2012). I was about to close up when a customer came in to purchase glasses.
Customer: Yeah, I'll be going on a trip in about a month, so I need to get my new glasses before I leave.
Me: Oh? Where are you headed?
Customer: Let's see, I'm going to Helsinki, then I'm headed to Poland, Latvia, and then Lithuania.
Me: WOW, deep into Europe then huh?
Customer: Yeah, that'll be... let's see... by the end of it all, I'll have been to... a hundred and thirty-seven countries.
Me:

Me: Excuse my language, but HOLY SHIT.
Customer: HAAAH, yeah. I travel a lot, that's why I'm so dirt poor.
Me: But... would you rather have traveled as much as you have, or have all the money in the world?
Customer: Honestly? Money can't buy what I've experienced. If I had a chance to go back in time, I'd do it all over again. I wouldn't change a thing.
Me: I'm pretty envious, I've gotta say.
Customer: Well, it's just a matter of taking the dive and booking that ticket. Nevermind what happens when you get there. Just get up and go, and see where your feet lead you. I can guarantee, your feet will lead you to some amazing places.
